Festivals
Students have the option of representing the school in group dances for local dance festivals running throughout the year. Competition encourages team spirit and develops performance skills and confidence. The children enjoy this side of dance and it provides them with a goal to improve technique in their weekly classes.
Exams
The students take their R.A.D ballet exams and I.S.T.D modern and tap exams on an annual basis. The taking of exams is important. It makes the child and the teacher strive for a standard of achievement and enables the student to reach their potential. The parents can also see a steady improvement and know their child is being taught safely and well through the guidelines set out by the examining bodies.
